Saadiyat Island - The literal meaning is “Island of Happiness” and that is exactly what it intends to provide locals and tourists. It’s master plan has seven proposed districts: The Wetlands, Island Lagoon, Eco Point, Cultural District, Al Marina, South and Saadiyat Beaches. Features will include: Championship golf courses (Wetlands, and Saadiyat Beach), Guggenheim Abu Dhabi and Louvre Abu Dhabi museums (Cultural District), Central Business District (al Marina), Eco and 5 star hotels (Eco point and Saadiyat Beach), and much more.

With completion dates pushing 2018 Saadiyat Island is another Abu Dhabi mega project in the works. After completion it should be home to 150,000 people. It can be found 500m offshore from Abu Dhabi city center and has a total area of 27 sq. km. It is truly a massive project with capital from a new company launched by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, the Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) will be the primary developer on this island.
